Epilogue:

Sacred sorrow
Simply sad
Fiery longing
- Mirabai Starr, Holy Lament, December 2024

My sacred wound
has ceased to announce itself
It no longer needs to wake me up at night
with pain so fierce
I feel the crucifixion.

No.

This wound has become a scar
scabbed over
And yet beautiful
A curiosity
that I can stare at for hours
Remembering each cut
that layer upon layer
Sculpted a rose-shaped stigmata
on my heart.

Grief isn't an illness or mistake, it is a natural and sacred response to life’s inevitable losses. It is also a crucible for transformation.
