we are honored to have you with us
This event has ended but you can still purchase the replay below
We are so glad you are here
Over these 4 days, we will gently unravel 4 myths that prevent us from entering the fire of our grief as a sacred space of transformation, a portal to fuller aliveness, a natural expression of love.
"As I learned to abide in the wreckage, a realization began to grow in me: You are shattered, yes, said my inner voice. Do not be in a rush to put the pieces back together. Go ahead and be nobody for as long as you can. And so I did."
-Mirabai Starr, Caravan of No Despair
How can you prepare to get the most out of our time together?
Create Your Container
As you prepare to enter this sacred circle of grief, we encourage you to prepare. Although you will be part of a community of care, you will also need to tend your own body, mind and heart. Strong feelings are likely to arise, and we want to make sure you feel safe and nourished. Here are a few suggestions.
-After a particularly intense grief experience–whether your own or witnessing to others–take a warm bath with salts and oils, candles and water or tea to sip.
-Let your people know that you are engaged in deep grief work, so that if you are extra emotional or vulnerable they will be more understanding and supportive.
-Consider individual psychotherapy or spiritual direction as a parallel to participating in the Wild Heart community to support your unfolding process.
-Create a special place in your home–an altar or shrine with pictures of loved ones who have died, teachers or archetypal beings that are meaningful to you–dedicated to this work.
-Before each session, light a candle and invoke sacred space.
-After each session, take a moment to consciously breathe and integrate what you have experienced into your body before going back out into the world.
Unraveling the Myths of Grief tenderly asks you to trust your personal journey.
Tend to Your Body
We encourage you to move gently and slowly as you leave our gathering. Please listen to what would nourish your body. If you are stuck, here are some of the Wild Heart team's favorites.
-Breathe
-Feel your feet on the ground
-Take a walk and speak the colors or textures you see
-Wash your face or hands, or take a hot bath/shower
-Drink a cup of hot tea and name the flavors you taste
-Play a song and move your body to it the way it is longing to move
-Write through it
-Embodied spiritual practice
-Lay flat on the earth
-Reach out to a friend, spiritual mentor, or therapeutic practitioner
-The practice that you know works for you!
Unraveling the Myths of Grief tenderly asks you to trust your personal journey.
